The Huskie Road Crew is an elite group of Northern Illinois University football fans.  We travel to away games, all of them if possible, to support our Huskies.  Our motto: “Every Game, Home and Away!”

At home games the Road Crew can always be found in the east tailgate lot outside Huskie Stadium with the original Huskie Mobile (a 1989 GMC cargo van with collapsible roof deck) and new for 2009, the Dog Pound (’71 Winnebago).

But we really come to life on the road.  Use this web site to follow us around the country in the new Huskie Sprinter (2008 Dodge Sprinter) during the best 13 weeks of the year.

We’ll post the team schedule, travel dates, hotel location, and tailgate location as well as any pre or post game get-togethers planned.  By doing so we hope to help organize our fellow Huskie fans traveling outside DeKalb, make new friends with our rival fans, and expand the Huskie fan base.

Tailgate Information

Look for the Huskie Sprinter under the NIU flag 20ft above.  We don’t have a specific lot planned, but last time we were in Oxford we tailgated close to the RV section of the parking lot just outside the stadium.

Lodging Information

The Road Crew is gonna party all night and tailgate all morning!  Ok, maybe a nap in the Sprinter, which contains a futon and is registered as an RV.  If only the bathroom was finished.  We sure look forward to that next year.  We’ll probably crash (literally) at a hotel TBD after the game.
